What should have been a festive afternoon of soccer in Geesteren on Saturday was unfortunately marred by an accident, involving one of our cranes.
When the STEVO and FC Twente players arrived, the banner with the scaffolding fell over supporters standing behind one of the goals.
We are in contact with the supporters who organized the atmosphere action and the various authorities. Our involved employees are being offered the necessary assistance.
For now, our full attention goes to the supporters who were injured, our staff and others directly involved.
Addendum 25-June-2024;
Justice, in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation Department, is investigating how this could have happened.
In order not to hinder the investigation and to avoid speculation, we cannot yet make any statements of our own about the facts.
