Festive afternoon ends in accident

Jun 23, 2024

What should have been a festive football afternoon in Geesteren was unfortunately marred on Saturday by an accident involving one of our cranes.
As the players of STEVO and FC Twente entered the field, the banner and its structure fell onto supporters standing behind one of the goals.
We are in contact with the supporters who organized the atmosphere-creating event and the various authorities. Our involved employees are being offered the necessary support.

For now, our full attention is focused on the injured supporters, our employees, and other directly involved parties.

Addendum June 25, 2024;
The Public Prosecution Service, in cooperation with the police, is investigating how this could have happened.
To avoid hindering the investigation and prevent speculation, we cannot yet make any statements about the cause.
