First deployment, maximum power! Meet our new Liebherr LTM 1400-6.1

Our newest addition, the impressive Liebherr LTM1400-6.1, had barely arrived when it was put to work right away.
In fact, the operators were still in the middle of their training week when they were called upon to face a serious baptism by fire.

The goal? To install a massive prefab basement weighing a whopping 73 metric tons. A perfect job to immediately showcase what this 400-metric-ton crane is capable of!

Drawn to the millimeter

With such a demanding lifting job, you obviously don’t leave anything to chance. Safety and precision are always our top priorities. Before the crane even set foot on the construction site, we had mapped out the entire operation down to the last detail.

To do this, we used the very latest software: Liebherr’s Crane Planner 2.0. Thanks to this advanced 3D planning software, we were able to perfectly simulate the crane’s configuration, ground pressure, and exact lifting radii in advance. This way, we could be sure we wouldn’t run into any surprises on site.

Craftsmanship in Practice

With the schedule in hand and the instructors on standby, it was time to get down to business. The LTM1400-6.1 immediately demonstrated why it is the new standard in the 6-axle class. Thanks to its compact design and quick setup time, the machine was all set and ready to go.
The 73-metric-ton prefab basement was positioned with extreme precision and impressive ease. It was a flying start for our operators, who immediately got to experience the finer points of this powerhouse in practice.

Kuiphuis has the solution. Whether it involves complex engineering up front or heavy lifting on the construction site, with this kind of equipment and our skilled professionals, we’re ready for the future.
