Despite the harsh spring weather, construction is progressing steadily to reduce the Dutch housing shortage.
The Netherlands currently faces a deficit of over 330,000 homes, and owning a home is becoming unaffordable for many.
As a result, an entire generation risks being excluded from the housing market. Liveability in several neighborhoods is declining, and the sustainability of residential areas is not progressing quickly enough.
Our government aims to build 100,000 homes per year as quickly as possible. These homes should primarily be built for first-time buyers, seniors, and middle-income earners. At least two-thirds of the homes must be affordable rental and owner-occupied properties.
We are particularly proud to contribute nationwide to addressing the pressing housing shortage.
