As of July 27, 2018, we, Kuiphuis Crane Rental, have acquired the activities of Pol Kraanbedrijf BV in Hoogeveen.
Kuiphuis Crane Rental already had five branches, and as of July 27, a sixth branch will be added. Kuiphuis is acquiring Pol Kraanbedrijf, a subsidiary of Jos Blom Kraanverhuur, from Hoogeveen. The definitive agreement was signed today. Kuiphuis will take over all operators and equipment.
Bob Bruijsten, director-owner of Kuiphuis Kraanverhuur, explains: “Scale is very important in our industry, and we consciously choose to operate from multiple locations. The closer we are to the customer, the better we can keep prices down by saving on travel time and costs. Pol Kraanbedrijf has good operators and a strong customer base, which will help us move forward.”
Kuiphuis has been established in Dedemsvaart and Hardenberg for over six years, and in the last year, revenue there increased by 300%. With the new branch in Hoogeveen, the originally Oldenzaal-based company strengthens its position in the region. Kuiphuis is investing in the Hoogeveen branch by immediately acquiring new equipment. “We listened carefully to our current customers,” says Bruijsten. “They wanted a total supplier, and we can now offer them that certainty.”
Marco and Richard Blom, owners of Pol Kraanbedrijf, are pleased with the acquisition. “We have made the strategic choice to further concentrate on our branches in the west of the Netherlands.” Kuiphuis intends to retain the Hoogeveen branch and can make good use of our operators. They will now have many more opportunities than we could have offered them in the long run.”
